When applying for a job, there are several key documents and pieces of information you can submit to make your application stand out:

Resume/CV:  This is a document outlining your work experience, education, skills, and achievements.  Moreover, it’s the most important part of your application as it provides employers with a comprehensive overview of your professional background.

Cover Letter:  A cover letter is a document sent with your resume to provide additional information on your skills and experience.  Also, it provides detailed information on why you are qualified for the job you are applying for.

References:  These are contacts (usually past employers or colleagues) who can vouch for your skills and qualifications for the job.  Moreover, some employers request references, so it’s good to have them prepared.

Certificates/Diplomas:  If the job requires specific education or certifications, be sure to include copies of these documents in your application.

Portfolio:  For some roles (like those in the creative field), a portfolio showcasing your work can be very beneficial.  Also, this could include writing samples, designs, or other relevant work.

Personal Statement:  Some applications may ask for a personal statement. Outline your career goals and explain why you’re a good fit for the position here.

Application Form:  Some companies have their own application forms that you’ll need to fill out.  In addition, these forms often include sections for your education, work history, and references.
