Biodiesel Resin Polishing & Dry Washing

SRS uses a resin-based biodiesel washing and polishing system for various applications. This system employs resin beds in the final stage of production to remove impurities like free glycerol, soaps, waxes, moisture, and salts from methanol-stripped biodiesel. The process does not increase the biodiesel’s acid number, maintaining fuel quality.

How the Resin Polishing System Works

The Hydrogen Bonding Adsorber Resins are reusable, making this system cost-effective. Unlike traditional water wash or single-use filtration systems, the resins can be used repeatedly, saving money and resources. The resins are easy to maintain and regenerate.

SRS employs a lead-lag two-column system for resin regeneration. This design ensures the plant operates continuously with minimal downtime. One column regenerates while the other remains in operation. The resin regeneration process uses methanol to clean the resins. This simple process ensures consistent performance and high-quality biodiesel.
